Plant care

Another priority is to care for your house/balcony plants or your garden while you are away. I will water and, if you like, mist and fertilize your plants, sprinkle your lawn, garden shrubs and trees. I also have basic composting skills. While as a child I grew up with a garden, I don't consider myself a plant expert or a gardener. So I can't offer any pruning or otherwise ambitious gardening work.

Feel free to let me know if your plants have different watering needs or specific sensitivities so I can continue to care for them like you do. Some hosts prepare this in advance by attaching post-it notes on plant pots. Others talk me through the details when I arrive and get a first impression of their plants in context with light, rain and possible wind exposure.     

In august 2020 I was house and catsitting in a Parisian suburb. During this sit, I was responsible for watering part of a communal garden during the heatwave. Here are some impressions:
