Cat care

As a cat mom of 30+ years I completely understand that cat owners want their companions well looked after when they are away from home. As cats are creatures of habit, I feel that having a responsible sitter care for them in their familiar environment is among the best of options. A loving presence and maintaining your cat's routines will help to ease possible separation anxiety. For me, cat care involves:

  • basic needs: food, water and a clean litter-box
  • companionship: cuddles, playtime, brushing
  • security: making sure your indoor cat doesn't escape through an open door or window
  • if necessary: giving medication, using pheromone diffusers, vet visits

I am familiar with caring for:

  • cats with heart, thyroid and pancreas conditions, inflamed eyes, asthma, brain tumor, epilepsy and surgery aftercare needs
  • multi-cat households: giving different kinds of food in food dispensers or in different rooms, or making sure that everyone always has access to their favourite hiding space to avoid possible territorial tension/conflicts
  • European domestic cats, Norwegian Forest, Abyssinian, Siberian, Sphynx, Bengal, Ragdoll, Oriental, Nebelung, Persian, Bombay and Burmese cats

In preparation of a cat sit I would ask you to tell me everything I need to know about your cat(s) to ensure a smooth sit. I can also provide a questionnaire that covers most aspects of cat care. During my sit, I would send emails/whatsapp messages and photos in regular intervals so you are always up to date about your cat's well-being and the situation at home.

Kindly note that I do NOT sit for:

  • cats without annual vet check-ups
  • diabetic cats
  • households with more than four cats

Here are photos and short video clips of some of my catsits. Please click on the photo to see a larger version with captions.
